Footsteps Day Nursery (Walthamstow)

Footsteps Day Nursery received a Good rating across all areas in the January 2025 inspection. The report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which has been mapped to the November 2025 7-area structure. The nursery demonstrates strong foundations with effective safeguarding, good curriculum implementation, positive behaviour management, and supportive leadership. Staff are well-trained, parents are satisfied, and children are happy and making good progress. The single area for improvement identified by the inspector concerns group activity management: at times, particularly during large group activities, not all children benefit from the same positive interactions due to group size. This represents an opportunity to move from Good to Strong Standard across multiple areas by optimizing teaching strategies and group configurations.
