Millies House Nursery and Preschool was inspected on 1 December 2021 under the legacy four-area OFSTED framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), with all areas graded Good and Safeguarding rated Effective. This analysis maps the legacy findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong fundamentals: children are happy, well-behaved, and making good progress from their starting points. Staff are well-trained, committed to improvement, and supported by effective leadership. The setting has adapted well to COVID-19 challenges and maintains strong safeguarding arrangements. Two specific improvement areas were identified: inconsistent use of questioning to identify prior knowledge and extend learning across all areas, and limited parent engagement in supporting children's learning at home. The nursery maintains a Good overall effectiveness rating with no urgent areas requiring intervention.
