Poppies Day Nursery

Poppies Day Nursery was inspected on 30 November 2023 under the legacy four-area OFSTED framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all graded as Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong foundations with effective safeguarding, good curriculum delivery, and positive staff-child relationships. The manager is passionate and creates a broad, balanced curriculum with high expectations for children. However, two specific areas require attention: inconsistent staff deployment during intimate care routines (toilet support) and inconsistent behaviour management strategies across the team. These gaps prevent the nursery from achieving Strong Standard in Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines and Welfare/Well-being. The setting maintains stable Good performance with trajectory toward improvement if targeted interventions address staff consistency and deployment practices.
