Buttercup Corner Day Nursery

Buttercup Corner Day Nursery was inspected under the legacy EYFS framework (pre-November 2025) and achieved Outstanding across all four areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and Management. This report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates exceptional practice across all domains, with particular strengths in curriculum design, staff expertise, partnership working, and leadership. The setting has progressed from Good at the previous inspection (October 2016) to Outstanding, reflecting sustained improvement and a relentless drive for excellence. All safeguarding arrangements are effective with robust recruitment, vetting, and vigilance protocols in place. The nursery serves 110 children aged 0-11 with 23 staff members, 22 of whom hold appropriate early years qualifications (levels 2-6). The inspection was the first routine inspection since the COVID-19 pandemic and noted the nursery's skilful adaptation of practice, including video meetings for transitions and home visits.
