Kindred Waltham Abbey

Kindred Cheshunt was inspected on 17 December 2024 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The setting demonstrates strong leadership, effective staff support systems, and positive child outcomes. Children develop independence, show respectful behaviour, and make good progress overall. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. Two key areas for improvement have been identified: inconsistent implementation of strategies for children who speak English as an additional language (EAL), and occasional lack of explanation during routine tasks, particularly with younger children during busy periods. These gaps present opportunities to move from Good to Strong Standard across Inclusion and Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines areas.
