Bright Stars - Seaton Lodge was inspected on 11 April 2022 under the pre-November 2025 framework (4-area structure: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management). The setting achieved an overall 'Good' rating, representing significant improvement from 'Inadequate' at the previous inspection in October 2021. This analysis maps the legacy framework findings to the November 2025 7-area structure: Safeguarding (Met), Inclusion (Good/75), Curriculum and Teaching (Good/75), Achievement (Good/75), Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines (Good/75), Welfare/Well-being (Good/75), and Leadership/Governance (Good/75). The new management team has successfully addressed previous inadequacies, with staff demonstrating good knowledge of children's development and positive relationships throughout the setting. Two specific areas for improvement were identified: enhancing outdoor curriculum provision for children who prefer outdoor learning, and strengthening parent communication regarding children's next steps in learning. The setting demonstrates strong safeguarding arrangements, effective staff training and supervision, and good progress from children's starting points.
