Kids Planet Salford

Kids Planet Salford has made significant progress since the previous Inadequate rating in January 2025, now achieving a Good overall effectiveness grade. The setting demonstrates secure safeguarding practices following comprehensive policy reviews and staff training, with leaders responding quickly to any breaches. The curriculum is well-sequenced and built on children's interests, with exemplary provision for children with SEND and exceptional support for English as an additional language learners. The setting has improved from Inadequate to Good across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which map to the seven November 2025 evaluation areas. Two specific areas require attention: mealtime routine organisation is causing delays and child frustration, and staff hygiene modelling is inconsistent, both affecting children's welfare and well-being. The nursery's trajectory is strongly improving, with robust leadership and effective staff engagement supporting sustained progress.
