Verwood Day Nursery Ltd was inspected on 3 February 2020 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), with all areas graded 'Good' and an overall rating of 'Good'. This represents a decline from the previous inspection in 2013 when the setting was rated 'Outstanding'. The report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework: Safeguarding (Met), Inclusion (Good/75), Curriculum and Teaching (Good/75), Achievement (Good/75), Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good/72), Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good/75), and Leadership and Governance (Good/75). Key strengths include effective safeguarding, strong community links, excellent outdoor provision, and positive staff-parent relationships. Two specific areas for improvement were identified: staff organisation at activity start times and staff deployment between downstairs rooms to support play and manage behaviour.
