Millennium First Steps Nursery Ltd was inspected on 16 June 2021 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all graded as Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding arrangements, effective emotional support for children, and good progress in recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The management team has implemented robust performance management systems and staff undertake professional development. However, two key areas require attention: less experienced staff need better support in planning and delivering adult-led activities (children spend too much time waiting rather than engaging in learning), and staff should explain behavioural consequences to older children to develop their understanding of actions and consequences. The nursery improved from 'Requires Improvement' at the previous inspection (January 2020) to 'Good' at this inspection, demonstrating positive trajectory under new management.
