Katey's House Nursery maintains a Good overall effectiveness rating across all areas. This report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which has been mapped to the November 2025 7-area structure. The nursery demonstrates strong curriculum design with the Little Wandle literacy programme, positive staff-child relationships, and effective parent engagement. Safeguarding arrangements are effective with an open, child-focused culture. The primary area for improvement identified by the inspector relates to behaviour management: staff do not consistently explain to children why rules and boundaries are important, limiting children's understanding of the reasoning behind expectations. This represents a gap in supporting children's self-regulation and emotional development rather than a compliance issue.
