Melrose Nursery School was inspected on 14 December 2022 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong practice across most areas: children behave exceptionally well, staff have positive interactions, the environment is well-resourced, and safeguarding arrangements are effective. The primary area for development identified by the inspector concerns children with SEND, where staff do not consistently adapt teaching strategies to provide enhanced support during activities. The nursery maintains a stable Good rating with experienced, well-qualified staff and strong parent engagement.
