Thrive Prestwich Village

Holyrood Day Nursery Prestwich has demonstrated significant progress since the previous 'Requires Improvement' inspection in February 2024, achieving a 'Good' overall effectiveness rating across all five legacy framework areas. The nursery has successfully embedded its curriculum, implemented rigorous communication and language screening, improved accident and injury procedures, and established strong advocacy for children with SEND. Staff skilfully link curriculum intent to children's interests, and the setting demonstrates a strong culture of safeguarding with effective arrangements in place. This legacy report (pre-November 2025 framework) has been mapped to the new 7-area structure: the four legacy areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management) align with Curriculum & Teaching, Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines, Welfare/Well-being, and Leadership/Governance respectively, with Safeguarding, Inclusion, and Achievement assessed from inspector findings. The primary area for improvement is staff development and supervision, particularly for those in new roles, which impacts Leadership/Governance and overall practice quality.
