Growing Tree Nursery

The Growing Tree Nursery was inspected on 31 January 2023 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), with all areas graded as Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong foundations in language development, mathematical learning, physical development, and safeguarding. Key persons know children well and use observations to plan learning; staff are caring and welcoming; and leadership evaluates practice effectively. The report identifies two specific areas for improvement: bank staff lack sufficient information about children's skills and abilities, limiting their capacity to extend learning; and organisation of less-structured times (particularly lunch preparation) does not fully sustain engagement. These findings map primarily to Curriculum and Teaching, Achievement, and Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines in the new framework. Overall, the nursery is performing at Expected Standard across most areas with some Strong Standard elements, particularly in safeguarding and leadership.
