Chestnut@Woodgrange was inspected on 5 March 2024 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded Good. This analysis maps findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery has declined from Outstanding (previous inspection, 28 March 2018) to Good, indicating a trajectory of maintenance rather than improvement. Safeguarding arrangements are effective. Key strengths include strong communication and language focus, good SEND support, positive behaviour culture, and effective staff supervision. Two explicit improvement areas identified: (1) strengthening staff interactions during group activities for younger children, and (2) extending opportunities for children to manage personal self-care skills.
