Pinocchio Nursery

Pinocchio Nursery was inspected on 10 February 2022 under the legacy OFSTED framework (4 areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all graded as Good. The nursery has demonstrated significant improvement since the previous 'Requires Improvement' rating, with particular strengths in staff-child relationships, communication and language development, and safeguarding arrangements. The report notes successful implementation of training focused on communication and social skills interactions. This analysis maps the legacy framework findings to the November 2025 7-area structure: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching and Achievement; Behaviour and Attitudes maps to Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines; Personal Development maps to Children's Welfare and Well-being and Inclusion; Leadership and Management maps to Leadership and Governance. Safeguarding was explicitly noted as effective. Two specific areas for improvement were identified: extending literacy learning for outdoor-preferring children, and optimizing environmental factors and group sizes during adult-led activities. The nursery demonstrates a trajectory of improvement with strong foundational practices in place.
