Farley Salisbury Outdoor Nursery School was inspected on 10 October 2024 and rated Good overall, representing a decline from the previous Outstanding rating (2 March 2020). The report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all graded Good. These have been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Good); Behaviour and Attitudes remains Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good); Personal Development maps to Inclusion and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good); Leadership and Management maps to Leadership and Governance (Good). Safeguarding arrangements are effective (Met). The nursery demonstrates significant strengths in outdoor learning, emotional development, language-rich environments, and parent partnerships. However, two specific areas require attention: staff clarity about learning intentions in planned activities, and the organisation of daily routines to prevent children waiting too long and losing focus. The decline from Outstanding to Good suggests these issues have accumulated impact on teaching quality and children's progress.
