1st Place Children & Parents Centre received a Good rating across all areas in May 2024 under the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management). This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 7-area framework. The setting demonstrates strong safeguarding arrangements, excellent inclusion practices for children with SEND, and positive relationships with families. Staff retention is exceptionally high, supporting stability and continuity. The main area for development identified by inspectors concerns curriculum consistency: while the ambitious Reggio Emilia-inspired curriculum is well-designed, some staff lack clarity on learning intentions, leading to occasional inconsistencies in delivery—particularly during transitions like rest time when learning opportunities become limited. The forest-school provision is strong but could be more precisely tailored to individual learning needs.
