Playdays Nursery was inspected on 15 December 2022 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all rated Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding practices, good curriculum delivery with particular strength in communication and language support for EAL learners, and effective leadership with high staff satisfaction. Children are happy, well-behaved, and engaged in learning. The inspector identified two specific areas for development: inconsistent use of resources to support children's understanding of feelings and emotions, and opportunities to strengthen children's independence and self-care skills by reducing staff over-completion of tasks children can manage independently. The setting maintains a welcoming, inclusive environment that celebrates cultural diversity and builds strong parent partnerships.
