Pillar Box Gardens Nursery was inspected on 5 October 2021 under the legacy EYFS framework (4 areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management). All areas were graded 'Good'. This analysis maps the legacy framework to the November 2025 7-area structure: Safeguarding (Met), Inclusion (Good/75), Curriculum and Teaching (Good/75), Achievement (Good/75), Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good/75), Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good/75), and Leadership and Governance (Good/75). The nursery demonstrates strong emotional support, effective key-person systems, good parent partnerships, and ambitious leadership. The primary area for improvement identified by the inspector concerns staff's use of spoken English, particularly when supporting children who speak English as an additional language, which impacts language acquisition and communication development.
