Kinderzimmer Sunbury-on-Thames is a newly registered nursery (2024) that has achieved a Good overall effectiveness rating across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management). The inspection was conducted under the pre-November 2025 framework; findings have been mapped to the new 7-area structure as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Good, 75); Behaviour and Attitudes maps to Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good, 75); Personal Development maps to Inclusion (Good, 75) and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good, 75); Leadership and Management maps to Leadership and Governance (Good, 75). Safeguarding is Met (100). Achievement is inferred as Good (75) based on the statement that 'all children, including those with SEND, make good progress from their starting points.' The nursery demonstrates strong foundations with warm, welcoming staff, ambitious curriculum planning, effective SEND support, and robust safeguarding. Two specific improvement areas have been identified by the inspector: (1) strengthening staff teaching strategies to extend children's thinking and promote communication and language skills more consistently, particularly for confident talkers; and (2) enriching the outdoor environment with age-appropriate resources for younger children. These improvements represent opportunities to move from Good to Strong Standard across Curriculum and Teaching and Inclusion.
