Kids Planet Apley has improved significantly from 'Requires Improvement' at the previous inspection (May 2024) to 'Good' at this inspection (March 2025). The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding, warm relationships, effective behaviour management, and good progress for all children including those with SEND. The legacy inspection framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management) maps to the November 2025 framework as follows: Quality of Education → Curriculum and Teaching (Good, 75); Behaviour and Attitudes → Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good, 75); Personal Development → Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good, 75); Leadership and Management → Leadership and Governance (Good, 75). Additional areas assessed under the new framework: Inclusion (Good, 75) based on strong SEND support and inclusive practices; Achievement (Good, 75) based on good progress from starting points. The primary improvement opportunity identified by inspectors is inconsistency in curriculum planning and implementation across rooms, and the need for more precisely focused professional development to raise teaching quality to the highest level.
