RAFA Kidz Boulmer is a Good-rated setting that has demonstrated strong foundations across all areas of the November 2025 framework. This is a first inspection for the newly registered nursery (2023), and the inspector found consistent quality with particular strengths in leadership, safeguarding, behaviour support, and personal development. The setting operates with caring, respectful staff who model positive behaviours and create an inclusive, friendly environment where children are confident and secure. The main area for development identified by the inspector is the need to strengthen support for children's critical and creative thinking—specifically, staff should provide more opportunities for children to explore their own thinking and ideas rather than relying on adult-led instruction. This finding maps to the Curriculum and Teaching area under the November 2025 framework. The nursery's strong leadership, excellent partnerships with parents and professionals, thoughtful consideration of military families, and rich experiential learning (allotments, community visitors, outdoor exploration) position it well for targeted improvement.
