N Family Club Reading is a newly registered (October 2023) full day care provision serving 137 children aged 0-4 across 135 places. The inspection on 3 June 2025 used the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded 'Good'. These findings map to the November 2025 7-area framework as follows: Quality of Education → Curriculum and Teaching (Good, 75); Behaviour & Attitudes → Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good, 75); Personal Development → Inclusion (Good, 72) and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good, 75); Leadership & Management → Leadership and Governance (Good, 75). Safeguarding arrangements are effective (Met). The setting demonstrates significant strengths in creating a nurturing environment, ambitious and well-sequenced curriculum, strong SEND support, and excellent parent partnerships. The inspector identified two key areas for improvement: (1) inconsistent staff practice monitoring, particularly affecting temporary and cover staff, and (2) staff deployment and key-person system enhancement. These gaps directly impact teaching consistency and child outcomes, particularly where temporary staff lack the knowledge and experience of permanent key adults.
