Kids Planet Monkseaton

Kids Planet Monkseaton received a Good rating across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management) in August 2024. This is the setting's first routine inspection since registration in August 2023. Under the November 2025 framework, these grades map to the seven evaluation areas as follows: Safeguarding is Met (effective arrangements with positive culture); Inclusion is Strong Standard (excellent SEND support and individualised planning); Curriculum and Teaching is Expected Standard (good understanding but inconsistent maximisation of learning environment); Achievement is Strong Standard (all children make good progress from starting points); Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines is Strong Standard (skilful behaviour support and well-behaved children); Welfare and Well-being is Strong Standard (children very happy, secure, health and independence well supported); Leadership and Governance is Strong Standard (positive action plan, staff development focus, strong parent feedback). The inspector identified two key areas for development: early literacy skills and role-play environment enrichment. The setting has recently undergone staff changes but demonstrates strong leadership commitment to continuous improvement.
