Kids Planet Stalybridge has demonstrated significant improvement from its previous Inadequate rating, now achieving Good across all four legacy inspection areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management). The nursery has successfully addressed prior weaknesses through focused staff training on safeguarding and welfare, establishing a warm and professional environment where children develop well in prime areas of learning. Mapped to the November 2025 framework, the setting demonstrates strong performance in Curriculum and Teaching (well-sequenced, focused learning experiences), Achievement (secure progress across areas including SEND support), Behaviour and Attitudes (calm environment, clear expectations), and Welfare and Well-being (attentive supervision, positive atmosphere). Leadership and Governance shows good strategic direction with high standards and effective community engagement. Two key improvement areas emerge: inconsistent curriculum delivery by less-experienced staff due to insufficient professional development focus, and limited parent communication regarding children's progress across all seven areas of learning. These represent the primary levers for moving from Good to Strong Standard performance.
