Kids Planet Southfield

Kids Planet Southfield is an outstanding early years setting that received top grades across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all mapped to 'Outstanding' equivalency in the November 2025 framework. This is a first inspection for the setting, registered in 2023. The nursery demonstrates exceptional practice across all seven evaluation areas, with particular strengths in curriculum design, staff-child relationships, language and literacy development, and self-evaluation. The setting has 20 staff members, 14 of whom hold level 3+ qualifications, serving 88 children across ages 0-4. Safeguarding arrangements are effective with an open, positive culture prioritizing children's interests. The legacy framework findings map directly to the new structure: Quality of Education → Curriculum and Teaching + Achievement; Behaviour and Attitudes → Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines; Personal Development → Inclusion + Children's Welfare and Well-being; Leadership and Management → Leadership and Governance.
