Maryams Nursery

Maryams Nursery received an overall 'Good' rating across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management) during its first inspection on 15 January 2025. This report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework as follows: the legacy 'Quality of Education' maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Good); 'Behaviour and Attitudes' maps to Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good); 'Personal Development' maps to Achievement and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good); and 'Leadership and Management' maps to Leadership and Governance (Good). Safeguarding arrangements are effective and meet requirements. The nursery demonstrates strong foundational practice with warm, nurturing care, effective parent partnerships, and good progress for children including those with SEND. However, two specific areas require targeted improvement: curriculum implementation lacks precision in reinforcing intended learning (e.g., International Day resources insufficiently planned), and practitioners do not consistently support children to identify, name and communicate their emotions during conflict or distress. These gaps prevent children from achieving their full potential and represent the primary focus for investment.
