Big 'N' All Preschool and Day Nursery

Big N All Preschool and Day Nursery received a Good rating across all areas in their first inspection on 12 March 2025. The setting demonstrates strong practice in creating a welcoming environment, supporting children's communication and language development, and effectively identifying children requiring additional support. Staff maintain good relationships with parents and implement robust supervision and training arrangements. The report was conducted under the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all graded Good. These findings have been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Good/75); Behaviour and Attitudes maps to Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good/75); Personal Development maps to Inclusion (Good/75) and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good/75); Leadership and Management maps to Leadership and Governance (Good/75). Two specific areas for improvement were identified: inconsistent use of observational data to plan activities aligned with children's next steps, and the need to incorporate parent views into self-evaluation processes.
