Ashbourne Day Nurseries at Southam

Ashbourne Day Nurseries at Southam has made significant improvements since the previous 'Requires Improvement' rating in February 2023, achieving a 'Good' overall effectiveness grade across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management). This report uses the pre-November 2025 four-area framework; findings have been mapped to the new seven-area structure as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching and Achievement; Behaviour and Attitudes remains aligned; Personal Development maps to Inclusion, Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines, and Welfare/Well-being; Leadership and Management maps to Leadership and Governance. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding arrangements, effective curriculum sequencing, good staff training culture, and positive parent engagement. Two specific improvement areas identified by the inspector relate to information sharing between staff about individual children's learning needs and full implementation of communication and language support programmes.
