The Learning Hive Nursery School

The Learning Hive Nursery School was inspected on 10 January 2023 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), with all areas graded as 'Good'. This report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework for analysis purposes. The nursery demonstrates solid foundations across all areas, with particular strengths in safeguarding, communication and language development, curriculum sequencing, and SEND support. Children are happy, confident, and making good progress. Two key improvement areas have been identified: (1) strengthening the evaluation and monitoring of training impact on staff practice and children's learning, and (2) improving information exchange systems when children change key persons. The nursery is well-positioned for progression to 'Strong Standard' across most evaluation areas with targeted investments in staff development monitoring systems and key-person transition protocols.
