Kloisters Kindergarten & Pre-School - Main Location

Kloisters Day Nursery and Pre-School received a Good rating across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management) in February 2024. This report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding, inclusive practice, and effective leadership with a dedicated SENCo and comprehensive induction for new staff. Key strengths include well-planned curriculum focused on health, independence, self-regulation and communication; strong parent partnerships; and effective SEND support with prompt identification and implementation of strategies. Two specific areas require attention: pre-school room activity planning lacks sufficient child-led play time (adult-led activities dominate), and toddler room routines create inefficient waiting times during snack transitions. The nursery is well-positioned for improvement, with motivated leadership and clear action plans already in place.
