Kids Planet Horsforth received a Good rating across all areas in its first routine inspection (July 2024). The report used the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which has been mapped to the November 2025 7-area structure. Safeguarding is Met with an effective culture prioritising children's interests. The nursery demonstrates particular strengths in emotional well-being support, inclusive curriculum planning, physical development, independence routines, and community engagement. Two specific areas for improvement were identified: developing high-quality staff communication skills to maximise learning opportunities (particularly for older children's vocabulary and discussion engagement), and refining monitoring systems to ensure consistent curriculum delivery across the nursery. The setting serves 128 children aged 0-4 with 22 staff (13 qualified: 2 at level 6, 7 at level 3, 4 at level 2).
