Kids Planet George Perkins received a Good rating across all areas in its first routine inspection (May 2024). The report used the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which has been mapped to the November 2025 7-area structure. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding practices, nurturing staff, ambitious curriculum design, and effective parent engagement. Two key improvement areas were identified: (1) inconsistent behaviour management approaches where staff do not consistently help children understand right from wrong and how their actions affect others, and (2) suboptimal arrangement of adult-led activities where some children join and leave quickly, limiting the specific support they receive. The setting is well-positioned for improvement to Strong Standard across most areas, with targeted investment in behaviour management training and activity structure optimization.
