Kids Planet Eccleshill

Kids Planet Eccleshill is a Good-rated nursery (first routine inspection since registration in 2022) with effective safeguarding and strong foundations across most areas. The inspection used the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded Good. These have been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework: Safeguarding (Met), Inclusion (Good/72), Curriculum and Teaching (Good/72), Achievement (Good/72), Behaviour/Attitudes/Routines (Good/72), Welfare/Well-being (Good/72), and Leadership/Governance (Good/72). The manager demonstrates strong leadership with ambitious learning programmes, effective key-person systems, and excellent SEND support. However, two specific areas require targeted improvement: (1) Quality of adult-child interactions, particularly wait time and communication/language development, where professional development plans exist but have not been fully implemented; (2) Organisation of daily routines and large group times, which become disorganised and cause children to disengage. These represent the primary focus for investment.
