Kids Planet Stafford

Kids Planet Stafford has improved from 'Requires Improvement' at the previous inspection (May 2024) to 'Good' overall effectiveness. The new management team has redesigned the curriculum with a clear focus on language, communication, and personal development. Safeguarding arrangements are effective with an open, positive culture. The setting demonstrates strong staff-child relationships, good progress for all children including those with SEND, and effective partnerships with parents. This analysis maps the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management) to the November 2025 7-area structure: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching and Achievement; Behaviour & Attitudes maps to Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines; Personal Development maps to Children's Welfare and Well-being and Inclusion; Leadership & Management maps to Leadership and Governance. Two specific areas require attention: inconsistent staff support during busy times (nappy changing, routine transitions) affects children's engagement in purposeful play, and children's independence is not consistently promoted as staff sometimes complete tasks for children rather than scaffolding self-care skills.
