Little Steps Day Nursery received a Good rating across all areas in its first routine inspection since opening in 2021. The nursery operates under the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded Good. These have been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Good/75), Behaviour & Attitudes maps to Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good/75), Personal Development maps to Inclusion (Good/75) and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good/75), and Leadership & Management maps to Leadership and Governance (Good/75). Safeguarding is Met. The nursery demonstrates particular strengths in SEND support, outdoor learning, emotional well-being, and staff training impact. The single area for improvement identified by the inspector concerns inconsistent understanding of learning sequencing and priorities across staff, which affects the clarity of planned activity objectives.
