Incy Wincy's Preschool received a Good rating across all areas in its first routine inspection (May 2024) using the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management). This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 7-area framework. The setting demonstrates secure child-staff relationships, effective behaviour management, and good role modelling. However, three key areas require targeted improvement: (1) sharpening the focus on learning intentions during planned activities to ensure mathematical and other skills are systematically developed; (2) reviewing group activity organisation to ensure all children remain engaged rather than passively watching; and (3) providing parents with more detailed information about their child's learning to support home extension. Safeguarding is effective with an open, child-centred culture. The manager provides regular supervision and the staff team (5 of 7 holding Level 3 qualifications) have engaged in targeted training, particularly around physical development and core strength.
