Fennies Eltham received a Good rating across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management) during its first routine inspection in November 2022. This analysis maps the legacy framework findings to the November 2025 seven-area structure. The setting demonstrates effective safeguarding, good teaching quality, and strong behaviour management, with particular strengths in emotional well-being support and staff qualifications. Two key improvement areas were identified: enhancing teaching skills to better engage children in challenging activities matched to their learning needs, and increasing opportunities for children to recognise and share their own languages and cultural backgrounds. The setting is well-positioned for improvement, with an ambitious acting manager and supportive leadership team already implementing targeted interventions such as the 'talking tent' for communication development.
