Rainbow Day Nursery West Wickham received an Outstanding rating across all areas in its first routine inspection on 24 May 2022. The report was conducted under the pre-November 2025 framework (4-area structure: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), which has been mapped to the new 7-area November 2025 framework for this analysis. All four legacy areas received Outstanding grades, translating to exceptional performance across the new evaluation areas. The nursery demonstrates exceptional strength in curriculum delivery, child development, behaviour support, and leadership. Safeguarding arrangements are effective with staff demonstrating excellent knowledge of safeguarding indicators and procedures. The setting provides highly stimulating multisensory learning experiences, strong outdoor provision, and exceptional support for children with SEND. Staff wellbeing is prioritised by leadership, and parent engagement is excellent.
