Twynham House Nursery School was inspected on 1 September 2025 and rated Good overall, with Outstanding leadership and management. This report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which has been mapped to the November 2025 7-area structure. The nursery demonstrates strong inclusive practice, effective parent partnerships, and excellent leadership that drives continuous improvement. Two key areas for development have been identified: staff need to provide clearer explanations and demonstrations of new skills (particularly for older children) to help them understand learning purpose and build competence; and the curriculum for emotional development requires refinement to give children more time and support to articulate and manage their own feelings independently rather than relying on staff redirection.
