Kids Planet Eccles

Kids Planet Eccles received an overall 'Good' rating across all four legacy framework areas (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management) in September 2022. This report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding arrangements, positive behaviour, good curriculum delivery, and effective leadership. However, two key areas require attention: inconsistencies in teaching quality across the nursery due to gaps in staff supervision and monitoring, and inconsistent modelling of correct vocabulary in communication and language development. The inspector explicitly noted that 'while practice is good overall, there are inconsistencies in teaching across the nursery' and that 'staff do not always model the correct vocabulary,' impacting children's language development. These findings map primarily to the Curriculum and Teaching area (currently Expected Standard) and secondarily to Achievement. The nursery has strong foundations in inclusion, behaviour management, welfare, and leadership but needs targeted investment to move teaching consistency and language modelling from Expected Standard to Strong Standard.
