Playday (Caversham) Ltd received a Strong Standard overall rating with Safeguarding Met. The setting demonstrates particular strengths in Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Strong Standard) and Inclusion (Strong Standard), reflecting excellent community engagement, emotional support and tailored provision for children with additional needs. However, three areas are graded Expected Standard: Achievement, Children's Welfare and Well-being, and Curriculum and Teaching. The inspector identified two specific areas requiring focused improvement: (1) inconsistencies in staff interactions that limit children's problem-solving and thinking skills development, and (2) inconsistent hygiene and self-care practice promotion. Leadership and Governance is also Expected Standard but shows positive trajectory with recent improvements to safeguarding oversight and staff development systems.
