Kids Planet Wallasey Nursery achieved an Outstanding rating across all areas in its first routine inspection on 23 August 2022. This report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), all graded Outstanding. These have been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Outstanding); Behaviour and Attitudes remains unchanged (Outstanding); Personal Development maps to Inclusion and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Outstanding); Leadership and Management maps to Leadership and Governance (Outstanding). The nursery is a specialist baby unit (0-2 years) with 24 places, 11 staff (9 at level 3+, 2 at level 2), and demonstrates exceptional practice across all evaluated dimensions. Safeguarding arrangements are effective with robust induction, continuous training, and daily risk assessments. The setting is calm, sensory-rich, and designed to promote secure attachments through baby massage and high-quality adult interactions. Children show exceptional independence, resilience, and engagement. Strong parent partnerships, inclusive practice for SEND, and exemplary reflective practice are hallmarks. The nursery has maintained Outstanding standards since opening in 2018 and shows no areas requiring improvement in the inspection findings.
