Lilliput Montessori Day Nursery Anstey was inspected on 24 February 2022 under the legacy EYFS framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded as Good. This analysis maps those findings to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates strong safeguarding arrangements, good staff knowledge of children, positive interactions, and effective parent communication. Two key areas for improvement were identified: staff explanations during activities are occasionally too complicated for children learning English as an additional language, and group times (story and singing sessions) can become hectic and lengthy, interrupting children's engagement. The setting maintains a Montessori philosophy with 26 staff members, of whom 18 hold level 2 or above early years qualifications. The nursery is maintaining Good effectiveness with clear trajectory for improvement through targeted staff development and activity planning refinement.
