Sawston Nursery was inspected on 3 January 2024 under the legacy four-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management), achieving Outstanding across all areas. This report has been mapped to the November 2025 seven-area framework. The nursery demonstrates exceptional practice across all evaluation areas, with particular strengths in curriculum delivery, child outcomes, behaviour management, staff well-being, and leadership. The setting has progressed from Good at the previous inspection (February 2018) to Outstanding, reflecting sustained improvement and a shared vision for excellence. Safeguarding arrangements are effective with an open, positive culture prioritising children's interests. The nursery serves 77 children aged 1-4 with 39 staff members, 21 of whom hold relevant childcare qualifications (Level 2-5).
