Lavendale Montessori

Lavendale Montessori has demonstrated significant improvement since the previous Inadequate rating (November 2022), now achieving Good across all areas. The setting has successfully implemented an ambitious, coherently planned curriculum with strong emphasis on communication and language development. Leaders have worked effectively with the local authority and now provide good-quality teaching and monitoring. The report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), which has been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework. Two specific areas require attention: group activity organisation to ensure all children fully engage, and staff mentoring arrangements to support less experienced practitioners in developing high-quality interactions, particularly during lunchtimes.
