Playdays Nursery - Nursery School Wimbledon

Playdays Nursery has improved from 'Requires Improvement' at the previous inspection (February 2025) to 'Good' at this inspection (September 2025), demonstrating positive trajectory and effective leadership response. The nursery demonstrates strong practice in emotional security, transitions, inclusion, and staff well-being, with particular strengths in relationship-building and sensory curriculum development. This report uses the legacy 4-area framework (Quality of Education, Behaviour & Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership & Management), all graded 'Good'. These have been mapped to the November 2025 7-area framework as follows: Quality of Education maps to Curriculum and Teaching (Good); Behaviour & Attitudes remains Behaviour, Attitudes and Establishing Routines (Good); Personal Development maps to Inclusion and Children's Welfare and Well-being (Good); Leadership & Management maps to Leadership and Governance (Good). Two specific areas require targeted improvement: physical development curriculum consistency (particularly in baby room floor safety and age-appropriate pre-school activities) and timing of care routines to avoid interrupting story time. These represent moderate improvements needed within an otherwise solid provision.
